MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Toyota Tacoma- Video
Today on our 2016 Toyota Tacoma, we're going to be test fitting the Max Tow 30 x 50 wheelchair carrier with a 48" long ramp. Part number MT70106. We already have it installed on our vehicle and right now it's in the position you would have it if either your wheelchair or your scooter we're already installed upon the rack. To get the scooter off you simply lower the ramp and to do that there's going to be pins and clips on either side here. We'll first remove the clips, then remove the pins, lower down the brackets like so, then lower the ramp. Now you're able to get our wheelchair-scooter off or put it back into place. With it in this position I want to go ahead and give you a quick measurement about how far it sticks out from the side of the truck. That's about 32" or so from the edge of the truck here. more

MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Toyota Tacoma MT70260- Video
Today on our 2016 Toyota Tacoma, we're going to be test fitting the MaxxTow 30X50 Wheelchair Carrier with 60 inch long ramp, part number MT70260. This cargo carrier has a carrying capacity of 500 pounds, has this nice mesh floor, which makes it easy to clean, has two reflectors on the outside to make it easy to see, and it also has these points all the way around the cargo carrier and those can serve as tie-downs for either your racket straps or your bungee cords, whatever you need to tie down your wheelchair. Right now, we have it in a position you would have it if the wheelchair or scooter we're in place. Now, to get it off or to put it back on, you simply fold it out and we'll show you how to do that next. We'll start by pulling these pins on either sides of the ramps here and that makes it so this can actually fold out like so. Then we'll go to the inside here, remove the pins and clips, and the supports. We'll pull them up and reinsert the pins along the sides like so, which sometimes can take a little bit of time to line them up. more

Today on our 2012 Toyota Tacoma we're doing a test fit of the Curt 20 by 48 Cargo Carrier. That part number is C18110. This is designed to work with both inch and a quarter and 2 inch hitches, and has a weight capacity of 300 pounds. Though it does have a pretty high weight capacity it is very light weight so it's easy to insert and take out of your hitch. First thing we're going to do is take a few measurements here. Starting off with our ground clearance we're going to have about 21 and a quarter inches, now that is because we have a raised shank in the back which is going to lift our carrier even higher than our hitch. Next we'll take our overall measurement, we're going to have about 27 and a half inches added to our vehicle. more

Keep in mind that this has a 300 pound weight capacity and works with both 1 1/4 and 2 inch hitches. The first thing we're going to do here is take a few measurements. Our ground clearance is going to be first. To the bottom of our bolt here, we're going to have about 19 inches. Overall, to our Tacoma we're adding about 26 1/4 inches and our closest point is going to be about 6 3/4 inches away there. As for our tailgate, if we lower this down to gain access to our truck bed, we're not going to make any contact with our carrier. more

Today on our 2015 Toyota Tacoma we're test fitting the Curt 20x60 Folding Cargo Carrier. Overall to the truck we're adding about 34,5 inches and our closest point is going to be about 13 inches there. On this vehicle we do have a single passenger side exhaust. Rola Dart Folding Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Toyota Tacoma- Video
Today on our 2013 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab, we're going to be test fitting the 23x56 Rola Dart Folding Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches, with a 450 pound weight capacity. It's part number is 59550. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt, and tighten it down with a wrench. In this position, we'll have about 15-1/4" worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 4" away, and overall we've added about 12" to the length of the Tacoma. Pulling the large red handle on the top of the carrier will allow us to tilt it into its loading position. As you can see, in this position we do have the room to open the tailgate. Here at the rear of the rack, we'll have about 19-1/4" worth of ground clearance, and overall we've added about 37-1/2" to the length of our truck. The exhaust on our Tacoma exits the passenger side, just behind the rear wheel. This shouldn't have any kind of effect on heat sensitive materials. We're now ready to load our cargo carrier with gear and hit the road. That will complete today's test fit of the 23x56 Rola Dart Cargo Carrier, part number 59550, on our 2013 Toyota Tacoma. more

To begin our test fit, well slide the shank of the cargo carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, slide through our pin and secure it with our clip. Our cargo carriers going to offer us about 14 3/4 of an inch worth of ground clearance here at the rear. The closest point of the carrier to the back of our trucks about 3 1/4 inches away, and overall weve added about 23 1/4 inches to the length of our Tacoma. As you can see, we do have room to fully open our tailgate without any interference from our cargo carrier. The exhaust on our Tacoma exits the passenger side, just behind the rear wheel. It shouldnt affect any kind of heat sensitive materials we may be transporting. more

Today on our 2012 Toyota Tacoma, we'll be test fitting the 20x47 Maxxtow Cargo Carrier for 2 inch hitches part number MT70108. To begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch, line up the pin hole and install our pin and clip. Now we'll go over a few clearance measurements. We have about 15 1/4 inches of ground clearance. The closest point of the carrier to the rear of our Tacoma is about 5 1/2 inches. We've added about 28 inches to the overall length of our Toyota. more

We have about 15.5 inches of ground clearance, the closest point of the carrier to the rear of our Tacoma is about 3 inches. We've added about 23 inches to the overall length of our Toyota. As you can see, we can fully open our tailgate without making contact with our cargo carrier. more

Line up the pin holes and install our pin and clip. Now well go over a few clearance measurements. We have about 14 inches of ground clearance. The closest point of the carrier to the rear of our Tacoma is about inch. Weve added about 7 inches to the overall length of our Toyota.Well pull the pin and clip at the base of the carrier and allow our carrier to unfold. With the carrier in this position we can fully open our tailgate without making contact with our cargo carrier. more

Today on our 2012 Toyota Tacoma, we'll be test fitting the 17x46 Curt Cargo Carrier for 1 1/4 and 2 inch hitches part number C18145. To begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch, line up the pin hole and install the anti rattle bolt tightening it down with a wrench. Now we'll go over a few clearance measurements. We have about 16 1/2 inches of ground clearance. The closest point of the carrier to the rear of our Tacoma is about 2 inches. We've added about 22 1/2 inches to the overall length of our Toyota. more
